File Formats
Convert Memories provides slides, negatives, or photos scanned into TIFF or JPEG formats.
TIFF
TIFF format maintains as much of the original slide, negative, or photo as possible in a raw format that remains uncompressed. This provides the best possible detail and color resolution. This, however, has the drawback of producing large files. A TIFF file will generally be 10 times the size of a JPEG.
JPEG
JPEG is a compressed file format. The compression is used to reduce file size, while maintaining as much detail as possible. Because of the compression, some distortion of the digital image may occur when it saved in this format.
